We Have A Travel System!

And as it was getting carried upstairs I had my first, "Oh my gosh -- We are going to have a child moment..." But, at least it is a rock star stroller!

The In-Laws Are Coming... The In-Laws Are Coming....

I feel like Paul Revere has been running through my head for the past 6 days telling me "The In-Laws are coming... The In-Laws are coming..." and I haven't much heeded to the council he has given me and pretty soon the massacre will begin (okay, maybe that is a little to dramatic)....

Maybe I feel more like the 10 virgins from the New Testament (you know 5 had oil and 5 didn't...) and halfway through the journey to meet the bridegroom I run out of oil.... (maybe, I should have cleaned the shower last night.... or taken something out for dinner this morning before going to work)!

Or maybe, my feelings don't spawn from total unpreparedness but the fact that I totally started going through every dresser, closet, shoebox and pit of darkness where stuff could get shoved about a week ago to try to make room for this child of mine. It was one of those times where you start cleaning and things look worse (a lot worse) before they look better and I have been trying to get things done but, have mainly ended up with stuff in bags. I know what's what and how the bags are organized.... some bags go to good will, some things we will try to sell on e-bay/craigslist and others will kindly be stored at my parents house until we have more room (does that ever happen after you have kids?)

Anyhow -- the In-Laws are coming and "there is sunshine in my soul today"... (What?)

The Rest of the Presents....

So, today is Dan's birthday! Woo Hoo! Here is the rest of the goodness that he got/is getting.

We woke up and made Omelets.(Similar to this. We prefer cheese, tomato, bacon and ham in ours. I like egg whites -- Dan likes the whole egg.)

Then we opened presents. On top of the movies he got these....
(Similar -- not exact)

Holy Heartburn!

I used to be a little impressed that you could get heartburn from something as simple as pancakes, then it was taken to an entirely different level when I got heartburn from crackers and cheese. Now, with 10 weeks left even water is giving my heartburn... it is truly amazing.

I've just got one thing to say -- this little girl better be cute or I'm sending her back.... heartburn and all.

Time for an Anatomy Lesson!

I'm a smart person but, not the smartest person when it comes to science/biology or even anotomy. I'd like to think that I have a basic understanding of some basic body parts... hands, feet, nose, hip, butt, ect. Aparently, I DON'T!

Today was the day we went for our glucose testing and Rh shot. I will updated you later on the glucose testing we wont know for a few days. However, I can update you on the Rh shot.

The nurse said, we give this shot in the hip. (See image of where I think my hips are -- except, I don't carry a flask in my pocket and mine don't look as nice).

Which hip do you want the shot in? "Um... the right?" I didn't really care but, since she asked.

I pulled my pants down a little. She told me how to stand -- which was a little weird and then said, "You will feel a pinch then it may sting a little".

Well, she proceded to pull my pants down a little (or a lot) more and gave me a shot.

Here!

The exact place to arrow lands. That is NOT MY HIP (and the shot DID burn.) I hope everyone is having a great day and that your nurses passed anotomy.

Why We Keep Our Cat Around

We love Sumo (our cat). She's spoiled. She's a handful. She's moody. She's perfect for Dan and I... Oh, and she plays fetch... with hair ties.

Count Down To Dan's Birthday!

9 Days.

I'm really glad we went over some of our friends house for dinner on Saturday because Dan is sometimes, really hard to shop for. However, due to a totally spontaneous conversation of Dan making fun of how many chic-flicks we own (I disagree -- they are just romantic comedies....) I decided to get him this...

Yeah, basically -- I'm a good wife. I'll even watch them with him (or at the very least fall asleep on the sofa with him as he watches them!)

Oh -- but, I don't know what else to get him. Any ideas are welcomed!

P.S. Dan doesn't read blogs -- unless I point something out to him... so, if you talk to him. Don't spill the beans.

The Difference Between a Man and a Woman....

New Years - A time to make resolutions.

Last night I decided to make a list of resolutions. Nothing major just things that should be done in 2009. I invited Dan to do the same thing. He said, "We do that?". I encouraged him to pick at least one thing. He said, "Okay. I'll be the best father in the world." (I believe it... but, really? That is all he could come up with?)

School:
1.Stay in it (no matter how crazy things get with the baby).
2.Make straight A's (no need to fudge my GPA this far along)
3.Make sure Dan doesn't get overwhelmed.

Home & Family:
1.Keep the house clean (Even during the weekdays. We actually keep our apartment really clean -- but, that is only because we spend all Saturday morning cleaning.)
2.Give Dan a little more credit for what he does (Dan does a lot -- and even though it isn't how I would do it-- he is amazing).
3.Spend more time snuggling with Dan (sounds lame but Dan likes to snuggle -- I'd rather not be touched. We have to compromise).
4.Make sure we do some sort of Family Home Evening every week.
5.Get through the next 3 months, labor and eventually be a good mom.

Church/Spiritual:
1.Read some sort of church publication everyday.
2.Continue to do family scripture study daily.
3.Attend the temple at least once a month.

Physical: (Post-March)
1.Goal: Not to be lazy and plump up after the baby is here... That's the best goal I can set for "losing weight" right now. It may change mid-April.
