Interesting ...

For those of you who DON'T read Ariel' blog... You should.

Her most recent entry was about a guys in West Australia "selling his life"... on ebay (which might be the coolest thing in the world).

He literally auctioning off everything.
To quote Ariel, "His house, its entire contents, his friends (not really auctioning THEM but he'll introduce you to them), his vehicles, and his job. Why is he selling his life? He tells you at www.alife4sale.com . The auction is up to $309,300 and has 3 days left."

I think ... this guys has the right idea. I would totally do it if I were in his situation.

As for the Haircut...

You can decide...

Before :
After:As you can see... I totally needed the haircut!

And We Laugh...

Last week was weird (and good).

One of my dear dear friends -- Etienne -- came and slept on our couch for a week. I hadn't seen her in 2 years (permission) and really missed her. Etienne is one of the funnest people I know and the summer she spent in NC was one of my favorite. It was good because most of my friends had gotten married so, to have someone new to hang out with was well needed. Anyhow, Etienne was supposed to stay for a while -- through the summer -- but, due to hear lack of job she found herself on the road heading to DC. What a bummer... but, we did manage to play a little before she left.

On Saturday we went to COMEDYWORX (with and X). It was an amazing show -- but, I previewed the line-ups...so, I had no doubt about that! Let me tell you we ended up having a group of 9 -- and we all laughed and had a great time.

Here we are...

Then a picture of me and some of my BESTEST*! (Rachel, Me (if you are reading my blog,I hope you that that) and Sofia).

You know -- to piggy back on Rachel's post I really do have some of the best friends and defiantly the best husband.

* I know "bestest" isn't a word -- but, I wanted to use it.

SumoCumber

Hilarious!

Step One: Acquire Cucumber

Step Two: Attack Cucumber

Step Three: Leave NO Trace

It has been a while since a "real" post. Why? For several reasons. First of all, the big things going on in Dan and I's life are not really things that we are ready to open up to the world and post about and the second is because I have been super busy! But, even that being said, there isn't to much going on.

Dan and I are getting ready to go on a Pioneer Trek with the Raleigh (NC) Stake which we are both a little too excited about it. I have amazing endurance and love doing things like this (as does Dan but, apparently, I am only talking about myself today... HA).

Also, I let my mother cut my hair... I wouldn't mention this if it weren't a significant event in my life. My mom always cuts Dan hair -- and even my younger sister's and does a great job. However, I was not as lucky and have an appointment to day to get it "fixed". Fixing it will require a great amount of the length the be gone but, Dan is sure it will look cute. I am hoping (at this point that is really the only option I have) that I look adorable with short hair. BOO!

I'll post more after the Trek -- I am sure.

Husband Tag

Cat tagged me for this... (a while ago)! I'm excited. I LOVE talking about us... (but, isn't that why we all blog?)

How long have you been married? 261 day or almost 9 months

How old is your hubby? He's 23.

Who eats more? Usually Dan... But,I have my moments

Who said I love you first? HA! Dan sent me a text message that said, "I love you". He swears he thought he had told me before that but, he didn't. So, he texted if first.. I told him first.

Who is taller? Dan is.

Who sings better? Dan nor I can sing. So, we sing a lot. It doesn't bother either one of us that we suck.

Who is smarter? I make better grades. Dan takes harder classes.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? If you are facing the bed, I do.

Who controls the tv remote? We don't really watch t.v. but, if we are it just sits on the end table.

Whose temper is worse? We both have really mild tempers. Dan likes to talk things out -- I like to be irrational (yes, I really do enjoy it. It makes us laugh at some of the things we come up with).

Who does the laundry? Dan usually washes it while I am at work and then I fold it. We work together A LOT!

Who does the dishes? Mostly Dan.

Who cooks dinner? I do.

Who is more stubborn? I don't think there is a "more stubborn" or "less stubborn" we are both pretty bad.

Who is the first to admit they are wrong? Dan.

Whose parents do we see the most? We see them about the same amount.

Who has more friends? I do.

Who has more siblings? He does. But, I have more sisters.

Who wears the pants in the family? I do, but only because he lets me.

I tag Ana, Sofia, Aleesha, Robin, Rachel, Crystal and anyone else that wants to do it.

Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder

It has been a while but, it has been a busy week or so. Last Saturday I flew to Orlando for "work". It was Annika (the little one I watch) and my annual trip to Disney but, this year an extra bonus -- SEA WORLD!

Here are some pictures:

Also, we stayed in one of the most amazing hotels second only to the Carolina Inn which is fantastic! We stayed the week at the world Marriott (the biggest Marriott in the world). The hotel has 4 buildings, 28 floors (at least in our building) and over 2,000 rooms. It also has 3 sit down restaurants, 3 quick type restaurants, 2 gifts shops, a Starbucks, game room, spa, 5 swimming pools and much more. We were spoiled.

Here is a picture from our Balcony:

This is a video of the elevator ride from the 28th floor to the 2nd floor.

There is so much more to update everyone on and I will but, this post is long enough.

Summer is here....

Once you see a firefly/lightning bug you know summer is here.

I saw one driving home from work the other day. I have so many great (weird - if you ask Dan) memories of chasing lightning bugs on warm summer nights with my sisters and friends.

We officially have a place to live in Charlotte. It is is a small one bedroom close to school. We are happy... enough*.

*We are really happy with our apartment and preparing to go to Charlotte. There are just a billion and one other things in our life that are bringing us down right now. I am sure I will post about them soon enough... but, now isn't the time.
