It seems like my going rate is updating my blog every month.
I have a two month old. Are you serious? The really cool thing is, Dan and I haven't even messed her up to much yet.
Life is great. Truly. Julia is huge and short. 10 lbs 8 oz and 21 3/4 inches long. I still adore her though. She's pretty content - ALWAYS and the cutest thing is, she's just learned to pout.
I've been super busy. I picked up a nanny job watching a little girl (Zoe) who is just three days older than Julia (people always say, "that's a lot like having twins...) It is and I enjoy it but, I've decided one kid at a time is probably the most sane way for me to have children (how do you manage, Ana?)
I feel like I have adjusted well with managing my time (besides neglecting my blog) to the whole parenting thing... I'm excited to get back into the swing of school too. I did manage to pull and "A" out of my one class I took last semester but, I am still pleased. So far -- so good.
Oh one thing that kind of stinks is living in Charlotte. I've realized more so now how much nicer it would be to live close to family or friends that we knew well. We WILL move back.... I love Raleigh.
A mother's blog -- who has no time to write but still wants the world to know her story... one picture at a time.

My Promise To You!
I looked in the mirror (something I try no to do) as I got ready for church on Sunday. Let me share that conversation with you...
Me: I'm getting fat.
Dan: No, You're getting pregnant.
Me: Well then, (Insert kind of secret baby name here) is getting fat.
Dan: No, She's growing.
Me (Mildly Irritated): DAN! One of us is getting fat. WHO IS IT?

Also, Dan and I are heading back to Raleigh one last time before our baby gets here... We are excited! We are having a baby shower tomorrow (I'll post pictures next week) and going to the circus (a request for my b-day). Last time we went home we were given much of what we needed.

We are so lucky to know so many people who are willing to bless us with hand-me-downs... What a spoiled little girl we are going to have. :)

My Sweet Husband
I went home to Raleigh last weekend without Dan. He had 2 finals on Saturday and was going to be busy from 11 am - 6 pm. I don't know anyone in Charlotte well enough to say, "Wanna hang out ALL day"? So... I went home. The trip isn't bad and I actually had a great visit with my family and my bestest. It was fun.
On the drive home I thought of what Dan would have waiting for me. When we first got married he used to bring me home flowers every couple of months or watermelons (if they were is season. I love watermelon so, it was very sweet of him). Anyhow, I figured it out. When I got home Dan would have flowers and chocolate waiting for me.

And guess what! I was absolutely, 100% WRONG. What did I actually come home too? How about a dirty pan on the stove (not even in the sink), an unmade bed and a husband who hadn't shaved or done his hair for two days.
However, he was watching for me out the window and when I pulled into our apartment complex he did jump on the windshield of my car....
I love him.... even if there wasn't any Chocolate or Flowers.

Thanksgiving -- and all that bliss!
So -- Thanksgiving has passed and I don't have much to report. I made my very first apple pie from scrath that was -- Delicious!

Then on Saturday we went to see Christmas lights - via choo-choo train. It was only $2 and...fun.
The first picture is Dan's Parents (And I think it is super cute!)
The second one is of my parents and obviously, the third is of Dan and I... I don't like either of the last two but -- I had to prove we were there! :)

The Capitol Of My Heart!
Dan and I were in Raleigh this weekend!
I love Raleigh -- which is good because it means if we can we will move back. I would LOVE to be one of those people who buy a house and live there forever.
While we were there we went to a BIRTHDAY PARTY! (Okay, so the capital letters were used to make it sound more exciting to the general public.) The birthday party was for a little boy turning 5 who I nannied from the time he was 6 month old until he was 2. I haven't missed a birthday party yet! He's such a cute kid too!
We ended up staying at the party for longer than expected due to craziness (which is always welcomed... ) a missed an open house ( Sorry, Ariel).
Saturday night we headed up to the outskirts of the world ( A.K.A. Dan's parent's house) and hung out with Dan's parents and his totally awesome SINGLE brother Brian!
Sunday we got up and went to church (of course the R2 ward). It was great -- I kind of feel like I big deal in the ward thanks to the YW and I secretly miss them like crazy (Are you having fun yet, Anna?)
After church we headed to my parents and had a great time! I had a friend over from high school and her family! She's got one of the cutest/smartest 2 1/2 year old Dan and I have ever seen. His name is Anthony and he's a brilliant little kid.
My aunt was joking with his and told him that his feet stink and all that fun stuff.... and he looked at her and said, "Well, do you want to come smell my butt"?
We laughed so hard I almost peed my pants -- but, that's another story!
There really is no place like home. Although we are getting along just fine in Charlotte, there is still tons I miss about Raleigh. It will all come together... Sooner or later!
